Amputee & Paralysis

Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) – is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. The ACA includes individual amputees, amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees, amputation or limb loss related agencies, and organizations.

Barr foundation- The purpose of the “FUND” is to purchase prosthetic limbs for
amputees who cannot otherwise afford them.

The LimblessAssociation – provides information, advice and support for people of all ages who are without one or more limbs.

National Amputee Golf Association - Incorporated in 1954, NAGA was comprised of a small group of amputee golfers who played friendly games that quickly developed into regional tournament play in various cities across the United States.

Limbs for Life – is a nationwide not-for-profit organization that has dedicated itself to the purpose of providing comfortable and fully-functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it.

Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) – dedicated to restoring mobility and independence worldwide to amputees and other disadvantaged persons suffering from orthopedic disabilities.


The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) -promotes the health and well-being of people living with paralysis and their families by providing comprehensive information resources and referral services.

ClinicalTrials.gov – provides regularly updated information about federally and privately supported clinical research in human volunteers. ClinicalTrials.gov gives you information about a trial’s purpose, who may participate, locations, and phone numbers for more details. The information provided on ClinicalTrials.gov should be used in conjunction with advice from health care professionals.
